If you have
used a water purifier at home, you would know each filter have different life
spans.
Wellspring’s life span as well, varies by filter.
In the
first stage, activated carbon plays a role in killing odor and bad taste of
water.
You need to
change activated carbon at least once every six months even though you purify
only clean water.
You should
change activated carbon more often, because its lifespan differs from raw water
that you use. If it should be replaced you use water from polluted area or if
it tastes different from before and have odd smell.
Basically 4
set of activated carbon filters are enclosed with Wellspring.
You can replace
when it’s time to replace.
Following
is a brief description of the procedure.
First, unscrew the body of Wellspring. Then you can find an
activated carbon filter and a felt filter like a picture below.
Throw a used activated carbon filter and a felt filter away.
Next, put a new activated carbon filter and a felt filter into the
body of Wellspring.
Screw the body to connect. It should be noted that you should put
a rubber ring on the same place as before in order to prevent water leakage.
It is quite simple but we recommend adult, to do because children,
sometimes try to put a rubber ring away.
This was a replacing method for activated carbon that anybody can
follow.
