Portable water purifier; Wellspring; How to replace the activated carbon filter


If you have used a water purifier at home, you would know each filter have different life spans.

Wellsprings life span as well, varies by filter.

In the first stage, activated carbon plays a role in killing odor and bad taste of water.

You need to change activated carbon at least once every six months even though you purify only clean water.

You should change activated carbon more often, because its lifespan differs from raw water that you use. If it should be replaced you use water from polluted area or if it tastes different from before and have odd smell.

Basically 4 set of activated carbon filters are enclosed with Wellspring.

You can replace when its time to replace.

Following is a brief description of the procedure.

First, unscrew the body of Wellspring. Then you can find an activated carbon filter and a felt filter like a picture below.

Throw a used activated carbon filter and a felt filter away.


 
 
 
Next, put a new activated carbon filter and a felt filter into the body of Wellspring.
 
 
 
 
 
Screw the body to connect. It should be noted that you should put a rubber ring on the same place as before in order to prevent water leakage.
It is quite simple but we recommend adult, to do because children, sometimes try to put a rubber ring away.
This was a replacing method for activated carbon that anybody can follow.
